In 2007, the Severn Riverkeeper Program again carried out a water quality monitoring project whose principal objective was to assess the hypoxia/anoxia problems revealed in the 2006 monitoring project.  Regular monitoring for dissolved oxygen, salinity, temperature, and surface optical clarity was carried out at a series of monitoring stations based largely on those used in 2006. Dissolved oxygen levels in Round Bay and Asquith Creek were monitored more intensively, in conjunction with measurements of hydrogen sulfide and benthic organisms.  Monitoring results are available as an on-line Excel file, with updates posted periodically over the course of the summer.

The complete 2007 Monitoring Report is available online as a pdf.  The accompanying 2008 SevernStat Report, which was delivered to the Governor in March 2008, is also available.
